Senior Researcher in Computer Vision
The Institute of Systems and Robotics – Coimbra (ISR-UC) is seeking a high-qualified, self-motivated Computer Science Researcher in the areas of Computer Vision to join the Computer Vision group, particularly the VisTeam. The team (VisTeam stands for Visual Information Security Team) is focused on the application of Computer Vision to industry in a few areas such as Facial Biometrics, Machine-Readable Coding (2D barcodes), Steganography, by using conventional and deep learning tools. The team has a strong track record on patents and is being currently financed by the Portuguese Mint and Official Printing Office.
This vacancy is supported by the Visual-ID project. This project aims at researching and developing in the border of areas such as coding, biometrics, low-level vision, graphics and printer-proof steganography. The ultimate goal of this project is to develop algorithms to improve the quality of high-security printing products, whose outcomes can be used in products such as passports and other machine-readable travel documents, civil identification cards, excise and tax stamps, brand protection stamps, driver’s license, biometrics authentication systems and other security products, objects and systems.
The Senior Researcher will undertake the following main activities and responsibilities:
1- Lead the team (size of the team varies depending on necessity but is expected to be between 5 and 10 researchers/students);
2- Development of algorithms in the mentioned areas;
3- Co-supervise Master and PhD students;
4- Paper writing and management;

Candidates should meet the following requirements:
Qualifications:

PhD position - Learning from limited labels
We are seeking a PhD Fellow to take an active role in the group's research on developing novel machine learning/computer vision methodology. Special focus in this project will be on developing novel approaches for learning from limited labeled data, such as few-shot/zero-shot/semi-supervised /self-supervised learning, domain adaptation, and/or deep clustering.
The position will be part of the already ongoing effort to design deep learning methodology for limited labeled data and will synergize well with some of our recent work [1-3].
The successful candidate will join the UiT Machine Learning Group, a vibrant group at the "north pole", with excellent national and international connections.

Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Scientist
Description: Several Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Scientist positions in advancing brain MRI analysis, including developing deep learning predictors and embedding their findings within a neuroscientific context, are available immediately at the Computational Neuroscience Lab (http://cnslab.stanford.edu), Stanford University. The successful candidate will contribute to research and development in the coherent and robust multi-modal analysis of longitudinal brain MR images collected across multiple sites. The research projects are funded by the NIH, such as the National Consortium on Alcohol and NeuroDevelopment in Adolescence (NCANDA; 5K MRI sessions). The researcher will work in a multidisciplinary research environment closely collaborating and publishing with imaging, computer, and neuroscientists at Stanford University and SRI International.
Qualifications: We are seeking highly motivated individuals who have demonstrated academic excellence, including publications in first-class journals and conferences. Successful candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Neuroscience, or related field. The applicant can either be an expert in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical methods for medical image analysis, or an individual with a strong background in computational or system neuroscience. Expertise in DTI or fMRI is a plus.
